Gaia was adopted in Germany in September 2016

For a long time we weren’t very sure what breed Gaia is mixed with, but it was established last week, when she was taken to have her blood tests repeated. Once the needle barely touched her skin, she screamed like only shibas can scream, which nearly send a volunteer and vet to Heaven =). She just did not want to be bothered. Unfortunately, blood test came positive for Erlichia. So she is on treatment for the next 28 days. No matter what we do, just too many ticks and it doesn’t seem there are programs implemented to keep their populations in control… every year more and more of them. Poor dogs.
